GRESTEL ECi4.0: Digital Transition and Adoption of Circular Economy Principles
The GRESTEL ECi4.0 project aims to increase production capacity through a diverse set of investments designed to promote the adoption of Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy principles in processes, products, and business models, leveraging innovation, eco-efficiency, advanced information systems, and connectivity between systems and people.
The investment, intended to strengthen the company’s competitiveness, will focus on the following areas:
- Capacity increase and ECOGRES innovation;
- Reduction of time-to-market and integration of information flows between market and production;
- Advanced information systems and connectivity between systems, equipment, products, and people;
- Transition to a circular economy, including energy transition and environmental management.
With the implementation of the planned investments, the expected outcomes are:
- Elimination of capacity bottlenecks in the facilities comprising Units 1 and 2/3 by adopting Industry 4.0 technologies;
- Deepening the digital transition of the business model, particularly for proprietary brands, by integrating core i4.0 technologies and leading the tableware/kitchenware 4.0 paradigm;
- Intensification of production methods that significantly contribute to the transition to a Circular Economy through actions aimed at minimizing resource consumption, transitioning to renewable energy, reusing waste, and reincorporating by-products/waste from other industries as raw materials.
